Italian marble is widely appreciated for its high luster and the ability to impart visual appeal to the area where it is used. Italian marble is usually available in slabs. They come in a variety of colors and textures, though there are a few varieties that are instantly recognizable such as the much-valued Statuario marble which is characterized by its white color shot with grey or gold veins, golden-hued Botticino marble which seems to be lit from within, light grey Carrara marble which features dispersed, fine, feathery veining, Nero (black) Marquina and so on. Due to its highly glossy look, Italian marble is usually used as a decorative element in walls, flooring, tabletops, and kitchen countertops, and so on. They are available in a huge variety, and prices start from ₹350 per sq ft and go up to ₹5000 per sq ft, and sometimes even more.

Carrara Marble 

It is greyish-white in color, sometimes with a blue-grey tinge, and the veins are fine and wispy. They look linear. Due to its stark whiteness, it can add freshness to the look if used in bathrooms. Apart from building décor, it is also used in sculptures. 

Calacatta Marble 

Calacatta Marble has more white than grey and the vein structure is darker, thicker, and more widespread. Sometimes it is also tinged with brown and gold. It is considered a luxury stone and the golden hue quite appropriately gives the tiles a rich look. 


Statuario Marble 

Considered the most precious Italian marble variety, this marble’s vein arrangement is unique and can even be gold or greyish. It has a more reflective surface because of the translucent white background and gives the room a radiant look. 

Royal Diana Marble 

This is a non-white Italian marble and so does not fall into the white category that causes a lot of confusion. It is identifiable by its beige color and its straight and crossed vein structure. It is a popular and inexpensive type of Italian marble. 

Rosso Verona Marble

Rosso Verona marble is a red stone with unique brown veins. This rock is perfect for indoor flooring. Rosso Verona is an Italian Marble with red color, which is imported from Italy and is also called Verona Red Marble. It is available in random slabs size of 3’6″ x 7’0″, 4’0″ x 8’0″ and is available in 15mm to 18 mm thickness.

Roman Travertine
