Wilkinson Beven, modern residence design project in Costwolds

Luxury interior design and architecture firm Wilkinson Beven has merged nature with modern design, in their new project, a residence, situated in southern England’s charming village of Costwolds.

For the past years, design firm Wilkinson Beven founded by Richard Wilkinson and John Beven has developed expertise in Luxury Interior Design with the design of beautiful residential interiors. The firm has designed private residences in London, to Caribbean beach villas and luxury ski chalets in Courchevel.

Their new interior design project has emerged in southern England, in the charming village of Costwolds. True to meeting the client’s requirements and taste, every detail was in full check, from the structural space planning, furniture layouts, and lighting design to the selection of materials balanced to create a modern home that is unique to their owners.

The client’s luxurious rural home is set on the brow of a hill and enjoys stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The main living space is divided by a contemporary log-burning fireplace, the new wing also features a bar and library and is complemented by a basement extension with a wine cellar and a luxurious home cinema. The living room completely invites the homeowners to sit back and relax during a cold day outside.

The imposing armchairs and side table next to the contemporary fireplace are the perfect pairings. Sturdy and attractive, the Stone side table by Boca do Lobo is a timeless modern design piece for any given set of a luxury home. Cut in a classic shaped pattern, yet with a contemporary design twist, it establishes itself as a quintessential piece in the Soho collection by the design brand.

The house is filled with light, not only because of its high windows that imposingly meet the ceiling, but also due to the white walls that happily embrace the entire soft interior design ideas present in every single home division. It’s clear that the clients aimed for a simpler palette and had a preference for a monochromatic range of the hue brown.

The hollywood inspired cinema room has state-of-the-art wall-recessed speakers and audio-visual kit, whilst bespoke, upholstered wall panels add subtle opulence as well as benefitting the acoustics of the space.

Stone and timber floors reference the natural materials outside and a sense of carefully considered craftsmanship is emphasized by pieces such as the oak bentwood pendant and the hand-stitched leather handrail leading down to the wine cellar.

The designer firm Wilkinson Beven really tried to bring the outside to the inside, and it shows. Merging nature and modern design, the final result of the entire project is a true harmonious statement.
