System Ceramics builds Innovative Technology

System Ceramics builds innovative technology that spans the full range from maximum productivity to maximum flexibility

There is no single production line that works best for every ceramic manufacturer. Each plant follows its own model, shaped by output targets, product mix, available floor space and how the workforce is organized. For this reason, technology has to be designed around the customer’s goals first.

This is the thinking behind System Ceramics’ approach: solutions built consistently around the production process itself. Full Productivity and Full Flexibility sit at the two ends of this philosophy, and between them lies a broad range of configurations that can be tailored to each plant.

Full Productivity: Productivity as a Competitive Advantage

Full Productivity is built for high-capacity plants, with kilns producing more than 20,000 m² a day and output that typically runs asynchronously: 24 hours a day up to the kiln, 12 to 16 hours through sorting and packaging.

System Ceramics’ architecture reverses the conventional production sequence and works as an integrated ecosystem, with each technology assigned a precise role: removing bottlenecks, cutting down manual intervention and keeping production flowing without interruption.

At the kiln exit, Check Point catches structural defects immediately, so storage space is never wasted on tiles that won’t make it to the end of the line. From there, Multistorage takes over, offering storage capacity that scales with available space and with the speed of the line, while Multibuffer keeps things moving even through slowdowns or changeovers. Quality inspection is handled by Qualitron, a vision system that checks up to 200 tiles a minute, picking up shade variation, graphic flaws and structural defects with precision.

Multigecko then sorts automatically across up to 14 product selections, managing changeovers through software without stopping the line. At the end of the line, Speedwrap handles high-speed packaging with dynamic changeovers between wrap-around and tray formats, while Eagle closes the cycle with intelligent palletizing that can handle several product lines at once.

Full Flexibility: The Value of Flexibility

Competitiveness isn’t only about volume. More and more manufacturers have to juggle broad product portfolios, small batches, multiple formats, large slabs and market demand that shifts quickly. In this context, what matters most isn’t producing the same item as fast as possible but reconfiguring the line quickly without losing efficiency or quality. That’s where Full Flexibility comes in.

Every technology here works as part of one integrated system. Fastroll combines storage, loading, unloading and buffering into a single compact unit, while I-GVsmove material across the whole production process, optimizing routes and adapting to even the most complex layouts. In the CW Big Size version, they also handle large slabs safely and precisely.

At the kiln exit, Multistore automatically manages both slabs and traditional tile formats, while Rotostore handles high-speed loading for conventional sizes. Qualitron remains in charge of quality inspection, and Multigecko manages automatic sorting for production runs with frequent changeovers and a large number of product selections.

The line ends with Multiflex, which delivers fully customized, just-in-time packaging through integrated printing, alongside the Falcon Slab and Griffon palletizing systems, built respectively for large slabs and traditional tile formats. In this configuration, flexibility itself becomes a driver of efficiency.

Industrial innovation tends to get equated with ever more complex technology. Butthe best technology isn’t the most complex one. It’s the one that lets every manufacturer unlock the full potential of its own business model.
