The 16th edition of EXPO REVESTIR

The 16th EXPO REVESTIR, held from March 13th to 16th, 2018 ended with the visit of another 62 thousand unique visitors.

Antonio Carlos Kieling, president of the fair and superintendent of ANFACER says, “The event exceeded all expectations in terms of visitation, quality of the booths and exhibition of products, in addition to the contents that were developed during the four days of event. I would highlight the set of actions taken to manage the public, with the segmentation of the event days in two moments: Business Days and Creative Days, which fully met the expectations of the strategic plan established”, he says. The International Forum Of Architecture and Construction received more than 3,500 highly qualified professionals who attended the lectures of great national and international names.

The FORUM brought together, on the last day of EXPO REVESTIR, two respected Pritzker winning architects, who spoke on Architect’s Day and exclusively for the event. The afternoon was started by Antonio Carlos Kieling and Fernando Mungioli, Publisher of Projeto Magazine. “We were honored with the presence and thoughts of renowned architects over the past 16 years. We are honored to receive two names such as Paulo Mendes da Rocha and Toyo Ito, one of the most important names in contemporary architecture”, said Kieling.

The architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha took the microphone and spoke about the importance of São Paulo, its virtues and its problems. “Construction can not be simply mass production to sell. The idea must always be build to solve problems of space and not just think of the profit that it will bring”.

The last day of the 16th EXPO REVESTIR also brought up discussions on highly relevant issues during Tecnargilla Brazil. The event presented themes such as Large Format and Low Thickness Ceramic Tiles and Technical Standards – Challenges and Main Changes.

The Saint-Gobain Architecture Award – Sustainable Habitat presented the winners of this edition in the categories Professional Institutional, Residential, Commercial, Student and the House of Sustainability project.

Tarsilinha do Amaral was interviewed in the Conteúdo by Club & Casa Design lounge in partnership with BOOMSPDESIGN. During the interview Tarsilinha told about the success of the Tarsila do Amaral Exhibition at MOMA in NY and commented on details of the artist’s life.
