Tecna, the International Exhibition of Technologies and Supplies for Surfaces, is set to return to the Rimini Expo Centre from 24 to 27 September 2024

Organised by IEG – Italian Exhibition Group in collaboration with Acimac (Italian Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association), the biennial event showcases the very best in aesthetic and process innovation within the industry. It hosts all the sector’s leading companies and attracts large numbers of international buyers to Rimini.

Over the years, the companies participating in Tecna have built the most efficient and sustainable factories in the world. They have revolutionised their production processes and product ranges and embraced the production of large custom-cut slabs. And with their strong focus on digital technologies and robotics, they have solidified their status as global leaders in innovation and technology, setting the standard for the future of the industry.

Tecna now stands as a global platform that draws key industry players from all over the world in search of solutions to boost their competitiveness and production efficiency. It is a premier showcase of the latest trends and advanced technological innovations in decoration, design, large sizes and fully digital and environmentally sustainable processes.

At each edition of Tecna, top buyers from all over the world are specially selected to participate in one-to-one meetings with exhibitors via an innovative business platform designed to efficiently match supply with demand. In 2024, the majority of international buyers are once again expected to come from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Mediterranean region, Europe and Latin America. With the event still eight months away, Tecna is once again shaping up to be a must-attend show for industry professionals eager to discover the latest innovations in the world of surfaces.

More than 200 exhibitors have confirmed their participation since the beginning of January, and the fact that 38% of them come from outside Italy testifies to the event’s enormous international appeal. As at the last edition, Tecna 2024 will occupy 12 halls that can be accessed through two entrances and will once again feature three thematic sections: –

Tecna Future Lab, a thematic section exploring the latest innovations in Industry 4.0 with a focus on digitalisation, green solutions, sustainability and logistics; – Decortech, devoted to companies that develop the raw materials and technologies needed to create surfaces with the best possible finish and aesthetic quality; – Finishing, a focus on companies whose surface finishing and treatment processes enhance both aesthetics and functionality, further extending the benefits of decoration.

The central theme of Tecna 2024 will be artificial intelligence, and the event’s inaugural conference will explore some of the potential applications of this transformative new technology in the world of manufacturing. The show will also devote plenty of space to the topics of energy efficiency and sustainability of processes and end products, a focus that aligns with the growing importance of ESG criteria and the energy transition. Encapsulating these concepts, the show’s slogan “How to make it” sends out a clear message to visitors, inviting them to the Rimini expo centre to discover state-of-the-art technologies for the production of all kinds of surfaces and materials, from the most traditional to the forefront of innovation.
