Designer Natalia Bolshakova

‘Sunny Valley’ residence situated in Ukraine is a stunning contemporary design project by the amazing designer Natalia Bolshakova of the firm and studio Bolshakova Interiors

Incorporating distinct style elements important to the client, Bolshakova Interiors designed a contemporary home that feels classic, yet functional, and undoubtedly sleek. Taking inspiration from French and American interiors, such as the personal homes of Christian Dior and Ralph Lauren, in addition to influences from the Four Seasons Hotel designed by Pierre- Yves Rochon, the modern interiors were radically overhauled, from staircases to windows, flooring to façades.

The studio and its amazing leader Natalia Bolshakova are one of the main modern design forces right now in Europe. This interior design project is a country house with an area of 550 m2 that is located in Ukraine, not far from the city capital of Kyiv. Bolshakova Interiors such as Natalia Bolshakova, Olga Drachuk, and Petr Gerez were in charge of this project that clearly transmits a contemporary vibe that is supported by a keen sense of elegance that shines through all the details and all the modern furniture pieces.

The Living Room is a one-of-a-kind open space combo. In the afternoon, the beautifully designed living room is flooded with sunlight. The lounge area has a large window and is perfect for family get-togethers. The owner’s personal collection of pictures and ornaments find their ideal place in the house. In the area it can be highlighted statement pieces of luxury brands such as Baccarat, Boca do Lobo and Eichholtz in this amazing room.

The incredible Heritage Sideboard by Boca do Lobo is placed near the stairs and that it’s, on its own, a luxury design piece of art inside this modern home designed by Bolshakova Interiors. The amazing ceramic piece by Lladro is also a statement in this project.“Individual style is emphasized in the decoration of the house, which is a testament to our client’s active participation policy.

On this project, we worked intensively with the client in the studio and at the facility actively sharing information.” Bolshakova InteriorsThe kitchen area is just as stunning as the living room. The austere furniture design and shining marble used in the design of the kitchen are complemented by cheerful textiles on the windows from the Hermes Jungle Life collection. Musing on a predominately white interior, the home seamlessly blends wooden elements with individual color palettes for each distinct area.

Deep blue sweeps the living room while touches of green encompass the kitchen and soft vanilla plays with light in the charming child’s bedroom. The bathroom design features a panel PAMPA from the French house, Pierre Frey. It contrasts powerfully with the marble textures, resulting in a stunning overall finish. For this design, Bolshakova Interiors opted for dark colors that contrast with the more clear color scheme of the child’s bedroom and even of the living room. It was a bold choice, but a strong one!“

An elegant and refined house for a family with a child, where every detail matters.” as the very own studio describes it. The kid’s room designed by Bolshakova Interiors is one of the most touching and charming rooms in the house. Everything in this house is considered carefully to ensure the child is comfortable and safe, but that is also surrounded by a relaxing environment filled with amazing details that can’t be appreciated by the child but that also transforms this room in a relaxing sanctuary for the parents!

The Heritage Cabinet is a magnificent journey through the Portuguese legacy. Covered in Azulejos, traditional hand-painted tiles, and one of the most representative art forms of Portuguese culture, the architectural cabinet portrays different scenes from the country’s Discoveries era. Centuries of history are gathered in a single final white and blue panel, and each layer is enhanced by vertical mirrors on the lateral surfaces.

The hint of wander through the rich legacy continues when two doors open to a lined glossy gold leaf interior, and a classical ornament trim reminds the inside of churches and rich buildings. A clear glass shelf can be seen on the two individual divisions of the cabinet. A statement cabinet, the Heritage can take center stage in the most elegant rooms since its back is also fully hand-painted. A lengthy tradition of bespoke and exclusivity to make one-of-kind design pieces.
